Clutch Pedal Cable - Honda Vamos Van HM1, HM2 Models - 1999-2001

Why would I need to replace my clutch cable?  Typically you need to replace your clutch cable because constant friction wears down the internal wire strands, causing them to fray, snap, or stick inside their housing over time. 

Fraying and Snapping: Repeated pulling causes stress at the cable ends, leading to a sudden break that leaves you stranded or causes a loss of control.
Damaged Casings: Heat from exhausts or moving parts can rust, bend, or melt the outer housing, making the clutch stiff or unresponsive.
Stretching and Slipping: Cables stretch with regular use, preventing the clutch from fully disengaging, which grinds your gears and damages the transmission.

Signs you need a new cable:
- Stiff or heavy lever/pedal pull
- Clutch pedal or lever fails to spring back
- Visible fraying near the ends
- Changes in the bite/engagement point that cannot be fixed with simple adjustments
